Le pouvoir des fleurs

Chronology of an artist’s intervention at the Lycée Agricole Saint-François La Cadène in Labège. The story begins with a meeting with a group of secondary school pupils through dialogues, exchanges and workshops in photography, drawing, collecting and making of a herbarium from the plants and flowers produced in the greenhouse and on their campus. It then continues with an exhibition and installation of Béatrice Utrilla’s latest works in the very heart of the Lycée’s architecture. Using a variety of fabrics and papers printed with plant and floral motifs, the artistic intervention changes the perception of the site and initiates a dialogue with the entire school community. Located in the Lycée’s vast entrance hall, the exhibition of some of these works will interact with the glass architecture and the plants that live there.
