Eaux de lune

Rapeseed wax, indigo dye, dried plants, ribbon, wood
21 x 29,7 cm each

The moon water ritual is a relatively well-known purification exercise that involves placing a container of water outdoors on a full moon night and drinking the liquid before sunrise to purify the body.

In this series, the moon is evoked both by the uneven surface obtained from wax, indigo, and dried plants, reminiscent of a lunar landscape, and by ancestral knowledge of the natural cycle, also symbolized by medicinal plants.

Between disappearance and resurgence, cracking and drying out, the focus here is on the place of life in the current climate emergency.
